Apostolic Perspective

by Apostle Dr. Austin de Bourg
Apostolic perspective can be defined as seeing with the eyes of Christ and understanding with the mind of Christ the things pertaining to the direction and positioning of the Church of Jesus Christ.
This message is meant to speak to the Church today to help us to understand the vital need for apostolic vision and perspective in these times for the healthy, spiritual growth of the Church.
It will help us discover God’s best for our lives individually and corporately and prevent us from unintentionally becoming unprofitable servants.
This message confronts the varying views and opinions on the validity of the office of the Apostle today, and clearly points out the dangers that many churches face when they choose to disregard the office and ministry of the Apostle and resort to “doing their own thing.”
As you listen to this message, you will understand that without an apostolic perspective the Church could find itself out of step with the Lord, out of His will, and out of His purpose, backslidden, and not even know it!
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: —Ephesians 4: 11-13
